Clinton Baptiste / Sally-Anne Hayward / Rob Deering / Paul McCaffrey
Winchester Comedy Festival: Summer Comedy Gala
An evening of comedy featuring Clinton Baptiste, Sally-Anne Hayward, Rob Deering and Paul McCaffrey (MC).
Clinton Baptiste is the flamboyant, unsubtle and quite honestly useless psychic, medium and clairvoyant from Peter Kay’s television smash hit Phoenix Nights. He will tell individual audience members straight what the spirits are telling him about their lives. Always hilarious and never truly malicious, he figures he’s only being cruel to be kind.
Sally-Anne Hayward combines the things you shouldn't like about your best friend's mum with the sensibilities of Jack the Ripper.
An accomplished radio presenter with stage and TV acting credentials (Absolutely Fabulous BBC, Why the Long Faces Square Donkey Productions, and TV warm-up for Deal or No Deal Channel 4), Sally-Anne's confident persona and quick wit have rapidly made her a much sought-after comedian.
She's a regular compere at Glastonbury Festival, and a keenly anticipated turn on the UK comedy circuit.
Rob Deering performs stand-up comedy with music, using a guitar, a loop pedal and his voice to create impressive rock and pop soundscapes – and do jokes, of course. Along with being one of the most in-demand comedians on the UK circuit, he’s toured nationally and performed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe many times since starting out in comedy in the year 2000. His late-night, live-music comedy pop quiz Beat This is a festival institution, on London’s South Bank, at Wales’ Green Man and many more besides Edinburgh.
Rob has performed throughout the world, in shows from the Middle East to Melbourne, Shanghai to the South of France.
