Winchester Comedy Festival
Reopening Comedy Gala
New performance added!
Due to popular demand an additional 5pm performance has now been added!
Winchester Comedy Festival's Comedy Gala returns, with an evening of socially distanced stand-up comedy.
Featuring Paul McCaffrey, Sally-Anne Hayward, Tom Deacon and James Gill.
Local lad Paul McCaffrey has recently been seen on Live at the Apollo and embark on a nationwide tour of his brilliant show, Lemon.
He has appeared on major UK tours with two of Britain's foremost stand ups, Sean Lock on his Keep It Light Tour 2016-2018 and Kevin Bridges on his Brand New Tour, playing to more than half a million people nationwide to great critical acclaim.
Sally-Anne Hayward combines the things you shouldn't, like your best friend's mum with the sensibilities of Jack the Ripper.
Her confident persona and quick wit have rapidly made her a much sought-after comedian. She's a regular compere at Glastonbury Festival, and a keenly anticipated turn on the UK comedy circuit.
Since winning the Chortle Student Comedy Award in 2007, Tom Deacon has hosted his own BBC Radio 1 show, done some telly (The Rob Brydon Show, Fake Reaction, Dave's One Night Stand), and followed The Champions League around the world as The Eurofan - notching up over one million views on YouTube.
A slick, upbeat, confident and loveable performer.
James Gill (MC)
James Gill is a comedian, presenter, warm-up artiste and writer, establishing himself as one of the most popular compères on the circuit.
"I would go to the ends of the earth to share a stage with James Gill. He’s a sharp & energetic hero of club comedy and a face we'll undoubtedly be seeing all over TV very soon" Katherine Ryan
"One of the most imaginative MCs on the circuit. The crowd love him" Rob Becket
