Over a 20 year television career Dan has made many programmes for the BBC, Discovery, Channel 5 and most recently his new online history channel, History Hit TV. He has interviewed royalty, visited over 80 countries and filmed on battlefields past and present.
This event has been put together by Winchester Rotary as a fundraising evening in aid of two extraordinary local causes, with the cost of your tickets going to Hope Street and Trinity Women's Services:
Hope Street is a residential community for women and their children in Hampshire. Hope Street will pilot a new approach to working with women involved in the justice system and is due to open in early 2023. Women and their children will have access to a range of specialist support including mental health, domestic abuse and substance use services. As well as the improved wellbeing of women and children and benefits to the community, by working with women to rebuild their lives we will also see a reduction in crime and re-offending.
Trinity Women's Services offers a space where women who are feeling vulnerable can be listened to and supported to make positive changes in their own lives. We offer: structured courses and individual contact sessions, counselling, support groups, complementary therapies, support relating to domestic abuse, Freedom Programme and Triple P Parenting classes
